It's been forever, I know. I just haven't felt super inspired lately. For the past three-ish months. I'm not sure why...
I learned some new text tricks recently, though! Out of those resulted this. I like it a lot. I hope you will, too! Download if you want!

Sooo.... I recently decided that my favorite type of art is animation. And I have made quite a few animations in my time, most of them stop motion.
The problem with me posting them is that a lot of them suck.

But I'm making a new one! Slowly but surely. Or at least kind of surely.

And I'll have more stills soon, as well.

I did some playing around in Photoshop, and came out with some really surreal stuff. I took a picture of a sunset from camp and then took a bunch of new pictures of my hands, and cut out the backgrounds.
These are pretty surreal because I was just messing around with layers and composition. The first one is my favorite. Click to see the rest. (I know there are a lot.)

I also took some cool long exposure pictures with sparklers. Long exposure is one of my favorite parts of photography, because you can be creative with it in vastly different ways.

I haven't posted in two months! How did that happen!

I have done art, believe me. There isn't a gigantic amount, but it's decent, considering I've been out of the country and to Wisconsin for camp since my last post and will be a counselor at another camp next week.

First of all, I have made a couple t-shirts. The first one was for a dress down day at school. The juniors decided that since the seniors were done with finals and gone on their senior trip, we now owned the school. So we all made shirts (mostly at Mrs. Frost's Mary Poppins party) and wore them that Monday.
The second shirt was a last minute-idea I had for the Mexico team, because everyone likes wearing the same shirt on the first day, through the airport and such. So at the last meeting before the trip, I spray-painted everyone a t-shirt.

Both were stencils. The first was done with fabric paint, the second with spraypaint.

I like this.

This is a quick sketch I did during a cool chapel we had last Thursday. I like the style a lot.

I'm going to experiment with stenciling soon, inspired consecutively by The Rescue (and people with awesome homemade spraypaint shirts), Erin's awesome Ravenclaw shirt, and FM 419/Rock the River (a video, and the fact that they give away stencils on their site.)

So yeah, I have some black shirts to paint. Stay tuned for that.

Haven't done this for a while...
Story/explanation: I took a picture (original). But when I uploaded it on my computer today, it was blurry. So I thought,
"Hmm... I'll either have to make something cool out of it or just delete it... I'd rather not delete it."
And this was born. Also, I've wanted to try to digitally age a photo for years. Like literal years. So this was my opportunity to try. (Or something.) On to the actual thing.

So it was in black and white anyway.

Haha, I have an idea!

Dad for some reason had all these printer labels for those really old printers that print in one long sheet that's perforated with the little holes on the sides. Remember those?

Well.

Along with this development of receiving like a million old labels is the desire to have some things to put on my walls. Because I rearranged my room, and I have a lot more wall space.

So I'm gonna make some awesome thing with labels!

And now you have to wait in ridiculous anticipation for it. :P

I inked this tree. It was actually the second thing I made. I thought the first one was stupid-looking, so I tried again, and this, quite happily, resulted.

When I looked at the other one later, I actually liked it, so I just gave her both of them. :)

This may sound lame, but this tile was inspired by Making Fiends. The eyeball style pretty much comes from there, and the squid is actually black, so also very much like that style.
